These works form part of the National Emergency Area Retrofit (NEAR) programme being delivered by SMP Alliance for National Highways. Overseen by the NEAR Midlands team, which is led by Alliance on-site assembly partner bmJV (the BAM UK & Ireland / Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Joint Venture), the M1 J16-19 works also involved the Alliance’s collaborative supplier network.
